TAISE Chairman Eugene Chien presented a speech on “Finance and Service Industry Sustainable Development and Strategies”, which began with an overview of the relationships among the Paris Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and corporate sustainability, while also recommending that Shin Kong Financial Holdings and its related enterprises should place a critical emphasis on climate change issues as a key aspect of corporate sustainability governance, and to welcome the arrival of the silent revolution now underway in the finance sector.

Today, March 7, TAISE Chairman Eugene Chien accepted an invitation from the Taiwan Corporate Governance Association and PwC Sustainable Development Services Company jointly held a workshop for “Realizing New Investment Value from the SRI”, which encouraged corporations to give heed to the low carbon economy’s attendant risks and business opportunities, while also managing the sustainability trend to establish clear short term, mid term and long term strategies, for strengthening corporate ESG development forces, and thus creating a favorable vision for Taiwan’s sustainability.
